The history of the Quarteto Radamés Gnattali began in 2006, with a tribute to one of the greatest Brazilian composers. The very name of the group, which reflects the interest of four musicians in promoting Latin American chamber music, is in itself an indication of their original intent.

Festival of Brazilian Contemporary Music Edino Krieger

September 26th to 30th, 2017

The Radamés Gnattali Quartet performs this next Friday, September 29th, in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina. The concert will take place at 8 pm at the Teatro Álvares de Carvalho, as part of the I MCB Edino Krieger Festival, where the winning works of the festival's composition competition will be performed. Radamés Gnattali String Quartet in New York

September 21st and 22nd, 2017

Next week of September, the Radamés Gnattali Quartet embarks for the United States, heading to New York, where the ensamble will make two important presentations. The first, on September 21st, the ensemble plays Villa-Lobos at Weill Hall, Carnegie Hall, commemorating the composer's 130 years of birth. The concert will be at 8pm. Tickets at $ 25 at the box office or by phone. The second concert will take place on Septembet 22nd at the Drew University auditorium in New Jersey, where the quartet will talk about Radames Gnattali and Villa-Lobos, and will play the Seresta 2 by Francisco Mignone for double string quartet alongside the Madison String Quartet. The Brasil de Tuhu 2017 tour begin

The Radamés Gnattali Quartet and the entire team of Brasil de Tuhu project embark today on the first destination of the 2017 tour. We are ready to cover 18,590 km in the next 30 days. In addition to Brasil de Tuhu`s didatic concerts, the Quartet will bring the best of Villa-Lobos, a collection of various movements of the composer's 17 string quartets, to be performed in September at Carnegie Hall in New York.
