The Brasil de Tuhu 2017 tour begin

August 8, 2017 The Radamés Gnattali Quartet and the entire team of Brasil de Tuhu project embark today on the first destination of the 2017 tour. We are ready to cover 18,590 km in the next 30 days. In addition to Brasil de Tuhu`s didatic concerts, the Quartet will bring the best of Villa-Lobos, a collection of various movements of the composer’s 17 string quartets, to be performed in September at Carnegie Hall in New York. This tour will include the municipalities of Ipojuca – PE, Rio Grande – RS, Salvador – BA, Santos, Santo André and Guarujá, as well as concerts in Sesi de Birigui, Marília and São José do Rio Preto – SP. About the Quartet

Winner of Rumos Itaú awards 2007 and XIII Carlos Gomes Award in 2009, nominated for the Latin Grammy 2012, Rio de Janeiro Government Culture Award 2012-2013 and Brazilian Music Award 2017, and the Radamés Gnattali Quartet emerged as the first in the world to record on DVD and BluRay, the 17 String Quartets of Brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos.
